Ukraine: KZhRK output down in January-July 2018

In January-July Krivoy Rog Iron Ore Industrial Complex produced 2.896 million tons of iron ore, down by 7.1% YoY.

In July the output was 428 thousand tons.

Last year KZhRK increased iron ore manufacture by 1.5% YoY, to 5.074 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: OMZ-Spetsstal starts shipping reactor billets for Ruppur NPP

OMZ-Spetsstal has started shipping reactor vessel billets for the first power unit of Ruppur Nuclear Power Plant in Bangladesh.

Under the contract concluded in September 2017, the company will supply billets for the construction of the reactor vessel.

Dneprometiz has started producing low-carbon steel wire with the diameter of 1.2, 1.4 and 1.6 mm according to GOST 3282-64 with a new winding technique.

The main characteristic of the winding is the special form and weight of the coil – 200 g.
