Ukraine: manganese ore export-import in August 2016

In August Ukraine imported $10.44 million worth of manganese ore, with exports on the level of $0.21 million.

According to the State Fiscal Service, the main supplier of manganese ore in August was Australia ($3.47 million).

In January-August Ukraine imported $67.79 million worth of manganese ore, while exports reached $1.59 million. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: coke export-import in August 2016

In August Ukraine imported $17.04 million worth of coke, with exports at $3.01 million.

According to the State Fiscal Service, the main supplier of coke in August was Russia ($9.2 million).

In January-August Ukraine imported $164.49 million worth of coke, while exports totaled $18.54 million. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: ferroalloys output down in August 2016

In August Ukraine produced 83.1 thousand tons of ferroalloys, down by 9.9% MoM, or by 9.1 thousand tons.

According to Association of Ukrainian Ferroalloy Producers, in January-August Ukraine produced 665.2 thousand tons of ferroalloys, up by 6.9% YoY, or by 42.7 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: ZALK and ZTMK to be privatized

The State Property Fund has compiled a list of state assets for privatization and is busy working out its terms.

Ukraine: Dneprovsky Works to construct a new unit

Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works plans to construct an efficient air separation unit.

According to the company statement, this will allow it to stop using old and outdated units.
