In January-October Mechel-Service increased sales of high value products: flanged beams, metal wares and bars. In January-September Russian exports amounted to $311.4 billion, down by 4.8% YoY. Metal accounted for 9.3%, down from 10%. Exports of aluminum grew by 14.2% and ferroalloys – by 5.1%. The board of directors of Russian metals giant Norilsk Nickel has recommended paying 604.09 rubles per common share, or a total of around 95.59 billion rubles, in dividends for January-September. Over 900 tons of Evraz NTMK hot-rolled flanged beams have been used in the construction of the Ryazanskaya transfer hub of the Moscow Subway. The company produced 45 B2 and 60 B2 class flanged beams with the strength class of S255. The beams have been delivered by Evraz Metal Inprom. (Ukrainian metal)

In 2019 steel consumption in Russia will grow by 7.6% YoY, to 42.5 million tons. According to the Chermet Corporation Vice-President Yuri Mishin, there was no growth in consumption last year, it even decreased by 1.7%, to 39.5 million tons.
