Ukraine: steel pipes output down in 2014

In 2014 Ukraine produced 1396 thousand tons of steel pipes, down by 13.7%, or by 221 thousand tons, YoY (1617 thousand tons in 2013).

Ukraine: coke export-import in 2014

In 2014 Ukraine imported $354.26 million worth of coke, with imports on the level of $191.99 million.

Ukraine: Interpipe to cut all pipe supplies to Russia in 2015

Interpipe, one of Ukraine’s largest steel pipemakers, will not supply any products to Russia in 2015 due to a slump in the Russian rouble and prohibitive import duties, the company said in a statement.

Ukraine: Petrovsky to retain 2014 output levels

In 2014 Ukrainian mining companies exported 40894.26 thousand tons of iron ore raw materials, up by 7.7% YoY.

Ukraine: EU cancels duties on imports of welded pipes

The European Commission is imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain welded tubes and pipes of iron or non-alloy steel originating in Belarus, China and Russia and terminating the proceeding for imports of certain welded tubes and pipes of iron or non-alloy steel originating in Ukraine.

Ukraine sees 28.5% decline in steel output in December 2014

Ukraine in December 2014 saw a 28.5% decline in steel output YoY, to 1.903 million tons, being the 11th in the rating compiled by the World Steel Association (Worldsteel) of the 65 main steel producing nations.

In 2014 Ukraine exported 2.2 million tons of steelsmelting pig iron, down by 2.3% YoY, or by 2.5%, to $802.3 million.

Ukraine: AMKR metal output down in 2014

In 2014 ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih produced 5555.4 thousand tons of rolled metal, down by 1.9% YoY.

Ukraine: ferromanganese output up at NZF in 2014

In 2014 Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant (NZF) produced 40.1 thousand tons of ferromanganese, up by 45.8%, or by 12.6 thousand tons, YoY.

Ukraine: steel pipes export-import operations in 2014

In 2014 Ukraine exported $1094.98 million worth of steel pipes with imports on the level of $108.01 million.

Ukraine up in the steel manufacturers list

According to the World Steel Association, in December 2014 Ukraine went up to 11th position in the leading world steel manufacturers rating, leaving behind Italy that fell to the 13th place.

Ukraine: Ferrexpo plc 2014 results

In 2014 Ferrexpo plc, owner of the Poltava and Yeristovo Mining and Processing Works (PGOK and EGOK), increased its output of pellets of its own raw materials by 2%, to 10670.54 thousand tons, and those of purchased raw materials – by 1%, to 350.86 thousand tons, all YoY.

In 2014 Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works named after F. Dzerzhinsky, a part of the Industrial Union of Donbass, produced 2.53 million tons of rolled metal, down by 15.1% YoY.

Ukraine: steel semi-finished products export-import operations in 2014

In 2014 Ukraine decreased its carbon steel semi-finished products exports by 15.8%, to 9.16 million tons, YoY. At the same time they fell by 17.2%, to $4.34 billion.

Ukraine: steel consumption to fall in 2015

In 2014 Ukrainian companies consumed 4 million tons of steel, down by 43.7% YoY (7.1 million tons in 2013).
