In 2019, cargo transportation along railroad decreased by 2.9%, to 312.9 million tons. According to the State Statistics Service, transportation of iron and manganese ore grew by 2.7%, while of ferrous metals, coke and scrap decreased by 5%, 12.1% and 12.9% respectively. In 2019, Blagoveschensk Fitting Works considerably increased the output of high-pressure large-diameter pipe fittings. The growth followed the increase of demand from local companies, which previously purchased foreign products. Last year BAZ mastered the manufacture of 40 types of high-pressure fittings.
