Ukraine: metal companies increase gas consumption in November 2017

In November Ukrainian metal companies consumed 165 million cubic meters of gas, up by 10% MoM.

According to Ukrmetallurgpromgas, in 11 months gas consumption grew by 3% YoY, to 1.6 billion cubic meters.

Metal companies also consumed 10.5 billion kW-h of electricity, down by 11%. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: no scrap shortage in November 2017

In November Ukrainian metal companies were supplied with scrap at 96%. According to Ukrmetallurgprom, last month scrap-procuring companies prepared 318 thousand tons, up by 2% MoM. Ukraine: Interpipe Steel output up in January-November 2017

In January-November Interpipe Steel produced 779 thousand tons of steel, up by 36.2% YoY.

In November steel output totaled 78 thousand tons as opposed to 52 thousand tons in October.

Russia: Kirov Non-Ferrous Works output up in January-October 2017

In January-October Kirov Non-Ferrous Metals Processing Works increased rolled metal output by 5% YoY.

In particular, rolled copper manufacture went up by 13.5%, and copper-nickel rolled metal – by 45%.

Sheet manufacture demonstrated the largest growth among product types: 14.4% YoY, with copper sheet up by 24.4%. Belt output increased by 5%. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: pipe consumption to grow in 2018

In 2018 pipe consumption in Russia will increase by 2%. Ukraine: Svet Shakhtera to get 300 million UAH from DTEK

The Svet Shakhtera machine-building works, previously a part of Corum Group, will receive 300 million UAH from DTEK as a revocable financial help.

DTEK Trading LLC and DTEK Dobropolyeugol will each transfer 150 million UAH.

Russia: metal transshipment in ports down in January-November 2017

In January-November Russian seaports increased throughput by 9% YoY, to 716.7 million tons.
