Ukraine: metal output forecast for July 2017

In July Ukraine will produce 1.7 million tons of steel.

According to Ukrmetallurgprom, pig iron output will total 1.6 million tons and rolled metal – 1.4 million tons.

For June Ukrmetallurgprom forecast steel output on the level of 1.6 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: state companies not buying coal from Russia

Ukrainian Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman claims that none of the state companies buys coal from Russia.

According to him, the Cabinet of Ministers does its best to diversify coal deliveries.

“We’re replacing coal with other fuel types, especially anthracite coal, which is now on Ukrainian mines, seized by Russia-supported militants”, he said. (Ukrainian metal)

In May industrial output in Ukraine increased by 1.2% YoY.

According to the State Statistics Service, quarrying production decreased by 4.6%.

Russia: nails prices to increase in July 2017

Under the increasing demand and the shortage on the construction nails market Metiznaya Torgovaya Kompaniya (Metal Wares Trading Company) forecasts the increase in prices of manufacturers by 3-5% from July 1.

The company also supposes that prices for bridge fasteners will increase by 10%, and electrodes – by 5%. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: ChTPZ places 10 billion rubles worth of bonds

Chelyabinsk Pipe-Rolling Works has placed BO-001R-04 bonds in the amount of 10 billion rubles.

The company intended to have 9-9.25% interest, but in the end it stood at 8.95%.
