Ukraine: Corum Group ships second roadheader to AMT

In mid-December Corum Group shipped the second roadheader to ArcelorMittal Temirtau.

According to the company statement, the machine will operate at Kazakhstanskaya mine.

The total lot of the machinery ordered comprises 4 pieces. The first one was produced in October and shipped in November. The final shipment is scheduled for January 2017. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: VSMPO-Avisma increases capacities for Boeing

On December 21, Boeing and VSMPO-Avisma announced the decision to increase Ural Boeing Manufacturing works capacities.

The new site will process titanium formings for all the Boieng aircraft, including the new 737 MAX and 777X models.

Russia: nickel output down in January-November 2016

In January-November raw nickel output in Russia decreased by 16.4% YoY.

According to the Federal Service of State Statistics, in November raw nickel output dropped by 28.5% YoY and by 0.5% MoM. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: pellets exports in January-November 2016

In January-November Poltava Mining and Processing Works, a part of Ferrexpo, exported 10.2million tons of iron ore pellets. The products were shipped to Europe and the Near East, as well as Japan, Korea and China. Russia: flat rolled copper output up in January-November 2016

In January-November raw copper output in Russia increased by 0.1%.

According to the Federal Service of State Statistics, copper plates, sheets, bars and bands output went up by 4.9% YoY, of rods and sections – by 19.2%, while that of wire dropped by 14.2% and of foil – by 9.4%. (Ukrainian metal)
