Ukraine: manganese output up in October 2016

In October Ukraine produced 166.6 thousand tons of manganese concentrate and sinter, up by 4.7% MoM, or by 7.5 thousand tons.

According to the Association of Ukrainian Ferroalloy Producers, in January-October manganese concentrate and sinter output dropped by 17.9% YoY, or by 220.4 thousand tons, to 1010.8 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: long rolled metal export-import in October 2016

In October Ukraine exported $141.8 million worth of long rolled metal, with imports totaling $14.92 million.

According to the State Fiscal Service, most of the long rolled metal went to Russia ($23.85 million).

In January-October Ukraine exported $1437.05 million worth of long rolled metal, while imports reached $125.4 million. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: Ferrexpo gets 99% stake in PGOK

Ferrexpo AG (Switzerland) has accumulated 99.02% of Poltava Mining and Processing Works.

Earlier the Ferrexpo stake amounted to 97.43% in the total number of shares and 39.12% in the voting shares. After the acquisition of shares Ferrexpo AG now has 99.02% in total shares and 40.71% in voting shares. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: semi-finished products export-import in October 2016

In October Ukraine exported $186.4 million worth of steel semi-finished products, while imports reached $2.74 million.

According to the State Fiscal Service, the main consumer of steel semis in October was Italy ($38.27 million).

In January-October Ukraine exported $1879.36 million worth of steel semi-finished products, with imports at $11.78 million. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: prosecutors demanding Krasnolimanskaya Coal Company to pay 8 million UAH

The Krasnoarmeysk prosecutors have found out that the state enterprise Krasnolimanskaya Coal Company has not been paying pensions for some time.

According to the prosecutors, the debt to the Pension fund amounts to 8.3 million UAH. The office filed 2 cases to the Donetsk district administrative court demanding this money to be paid. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: raw zinc output up in January-October 2016

In January-October raw zinc output in Russia increased by 4.4% YoY.

Russia: copper output down in January-October 2016

In January-October output of refined copper dropped by 0.7% YoY.

Izhstal, a part of Mechel, has received the certificate of quality correspondence from one of the major aviation machinery producers in Russia – Aviastar-SP.

In 2016 Russia plans to produce 297 tons of gold, up by 1.2% YoY.

Last year Russia produced 293.4 tons of gold, up by 2% YoY
