Ukraine: steel semis export-import in June 2016

In June Ukraine exported $195.82 million worth of steel semi-finished products, while imports reached $0.71 million.

According to the State Fiscal Service, in June the main importer of Ukrainian semis was Italy ($70.07 million).

In January-June Ukraine exported $1102.36 million worth of steel semis, with imports on the level of $5.61 million. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: ZALK losses down in H1 2016

In January-June Zaporozhye Aluminum Works received 281.99 million UAH of losses, down 4 times YoY, or by 879.2 million UAH.

Ukraine: ferroalloys export-import in June 2016

In June Ukraine exported $65.15 million worth of ferroalloys, while imports totaled $7.67 million.

According to the State Fiscal Service, the major importer of Ukrainian ferroalloys in June was Italy ($12.46 million).

Ukraine: manganese output up in June 2016

In June manganese concentrate and sinter output went up by 18.9% MoM, or by 22.9 thousand tons, to 144.2 thousand tons.

According to the Association of Ukrainian Ferroalloy Producers, in January-June Ukraine produced 403.8 thousand tons of manganese concentrate and sinter, down by 37.1% YoY, or by 237.8 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: iron ore export-import in June 2016

In June Ukraine exported $141.69 million worth of iron ore, while imports reached $4.5 million.

According to the State Fiscal Service, the main importer of Ukrainian iron ore in June was China ($41.78 million).

Ukraine: Metinvest EBITDA up in May 2016

In May Metinvest group increased its EBITDA by 29.3% MoM, or by 46 million UAH, to $203 million.

The group income went up by 6.18% MoM, or by $31 million, to $533 million.

Ukraine: PGOK gas consumption down

Poltava Mining and Processing Works has decreased gas consumption by 33%, or by 5 million cubic meters, to 10 million cubic meters.

According to the company chairman Victor Lotous, PGOK used sunflower seed husks instead of gas to make pellets. This allows the company to save some 50-60 million UAH annually. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: ZZF ferroalloys output down in June 2016

In June Zaporozhye Ferro Alloys Plant produced 24.5 thousand tons of ferroalloys, down by 1.2% MoM, or by 0.3 thousand tons.

According to the Association of Ukrainian Ferroalloy Producers, in January-June ZZF decreased ferroalloys output by 12% YoY, or by 18.5 thousand tons, to 135.1 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: long rolled metal export-import in June 2016

In June Ukraine exported $146.95 million worth of long rolled metal, while imports reached $12.3 million.

According to the State Fiscal Service, the main importer of long rolled metal in June was Russia ($23.78 million).

Ukraine: Zaporozhogneupor to buy raw materials in Japan

Supervisory board of Zaporozhogneupor has given its preliminary consent to buy magnesite and graphite valued at 142.5 million UAH from Minmetals Japan Corporation.
