Russia: RZhD ships large coal batch to China

The Russian Railroads sales center in the city of Chita in August shipped over 13 thousand tons of coal to China.

It took the center some 200 wagons to ship the lot.

Russia: Nornickel to pay $1.8 billion of dividends for H1 2018

An extraordinary shareholders meeting at Norilsk Nickel decided to pay 776.02 rubles of dividends per ordinary share (some $11.37) for the first half of 2018.

Ukraine: scrap exports down in August 2018

In August Ukraine imported $2.849 million worth of ferrous scrap, up by 53.2% YoY.

According to the State Fiscal Service, exports dropped by 66.1%, to $5.826 million.

Ukraine mostly exported scrap to Turkey ($5.504 million).

In January-August scrap exports grew by 69.9%, to $98.244 million, while imports by 57.1%, to $24.858 million. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: corrosion-resistant scrap exports up in July 2018

In July, according to the customs statistics, Russia exported 10.5 thousand tons of corrosion-resistant steel scrap valued at $12 million, up by 20.4% and 1.5-fold YoY respectively.

In January-July exports grew by 41.8%, to 65 thousand tons valued at $71 million, up by 60%.
