Kametstal has capitally repaired a blast furnace gas burner No. 2.
The gas originates when smelting pig iron in blast furnaces. When it is purified, it could be used as fuel in air heaters, gas engines, etc.
The excess gas is disposed of in burners.
Thanks to the repair it is now possible to use coke gas instead of the expensive natural gas. Thus, the use of natural gas in burners decreases by 40 cubic meters per hour. (Ukrainian metal)
