Until 2030, Ferrexpo intends to decrease carbon emissions by 50% in the first and second categories per ton of iron ore produced compared with 2019.
So far, the company has decreased emissions by 30%.
The first and second categories of emission concern mostly the usage of diesel fuel, electricity and natural gas.
These categories accounted for around 90% of the company emissions in 2021.
Ferrexpo intends to have become carbon-neutral by 2050. (Ukrainian metal)
