Dniprovskiy Iron and Steel Works has produced a mine skip with larger volume and higher lifting capacity.

This is the first such skip produced at the company.

The work was carried out under the vertical integration with the Sukha Balka mine.

The volume of the skip is 25 cubic meters and lifting capacity is 53 tons from the depth of 1500 meters, making it the one of a kind in the world.

Usually miners use smaller skips – with the volume of 20 cubic meters.

It took the company several months to produce the skip. Later the machine was transported to the mine and covered with corrosion-resistant coating and lining. Now it is being assembled at the Yuvileyna mine. (Ukrainian metal)
