In January-May Ukrainian companies mined 15958.4 thousand tons of ordinary coal, down by 53.7%, or by 18482.3 thousand tons YoY.
In January-April Ukrainian coal mining companies mined 12718.9 thousand tons of ordinary coal, down 2.2 times, or by 15.14 million tons, YoY.
In March Ukraine (not counting the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Sevastopol) mined 2 million tons of coal, down by 61.1% YoY.

In 2015 the government will close 7 of the country mines, while 5 more will be laid up.
