In January Ukraine mined 3130.5 thousand tons of coal, down by 9.3% YoY, or by 321.2 thousand tons.
The state company “Ukruglerestrukturizatsiya” has signed several agreements on closing down of mines worth 43.47 million UAH.
The Ministry of energy and coal industry of Ukraine is going to temporarily stop the construction of Novovolynskaya #10 mine due to the lack of finances.
The coal supplied from the Ukraine-uncontrolled territories of Donbass costs 1200 UAH per ton.
The ship brought some 80 thousand tons of anthracite.
The Ministry of energy and coal industry has made a decree “On the market of coal products” targeting the rules of trade on the coal market within the stages of power sphere privatization and creating the clear market of coal.
In 2015 Ukraine decreased coal imports from Russia by 69%, while increasing them from the South African Republic by 139%.
