In January-September coal imports from Russia fell by 31% YoY, to 3.7 million tons. In September Russia supplied 902 thousand tons of coal.

Ukrainian-mined coal supplies to the working by-product coke plants in January-September totaled 4.4 million tons, down by 43% YoY, with around 600 thousand tons in September, up by 80 thousand tons MoM.

Coke stocks increased in September by 70 thousand tons, and as of October 1 reached 500 thousand tons.

All in all, in January-September Ukrainian by-product coke plants received 11.6 million tons of coking coal, down by 25% YoY, with the share of imported coal increasing from 50% in 2014 to 62%.

In January-September coke plants sent 7 million tons of coke to metal companies, down by 21% YoY. At the same time, in September bulk coke deliveries increased by 20 thousand tons MoM, to 930 thousand tons.

The volume of imported coke in January-September increased by 33% YoY, to 1 million tons, with 80 thousand tons in September. All in all Ukrainian metal companies received 8 million tons of coke, down by 16% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
