Ukraine: miners to receive 180 million UAH in February 2016

Ukraine has received a grant from the government of Great Britain for the social support of the miners and the population of the mining regions, where coal companies will be closed.
The Ministry for energy and coal industry initiates the provision of state funds to continue construction works at the Novovolynskaya #10 mine and to pay salary to miners.
As of January 1, coal stocks in Ukraine totaled 6399.3 thousand tons, down by 1.2% MoM.
Coal mining in Ukraine (without the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and the ATO Zone) in 2015 fell by 36.8% YoY, to 28.2 million tons.
The Lviv customs office lost 4 million UAH for each day the miners were blocking Lviv – Rava-Russkaya road.
In 2015 Donetsk region companies mined 14.36 million tons of coal.
Several Ukrainian mines and one processing factory will be sold to a Switzerland-based company without any connection to coal industry.
