Krasnolimanskaya miners have supported the illegally fired acting director Konstantin Kiselev. The strike began in late September.
Instead of Kiselev, his deputy Vitaly Zyuzko was appointed the director of the mine. According to Kiselev, this change was caused by the conflict with the people’s deputy Yuri Bereza.
Kiselev said, Bereza offered him to protect the mine for 6 million UAH. An audio file with presumably Bereza’s voice was put online.
Now Krasnolimanskaya miners demand the payment of 200 million UAH for coal and the return of the coalbeds to the ownership of the company. Since no reply from the Ministry for energy and coal industry came in the early October, the miners decided to move their strike to Kiev. They say the week halt of the mine cost around 22 million UAH. (Ukrainian metal)
