The state coal market operator Derzhvuglepostach (DVP) has problems selling coal of state mining companies.

“For the past two years the demand for electricity has fallen dramatically. Eastern territories have been taken from us, Energoatom loadings have increased. So, yes, there are problems with sales”, said the company director Andrei Plyugin.

DVP sells only gas-generating coal, which is supplied to Uglegorsk thermal power plant. And it now stocks 243 thousand tons of coal.

Other consumers of state coal are DTEK Zapadenergo, Cherkassy TPP and Kalush TPP. Some coal from Dzerzhinskugol is sold to Metinvest. (Ukrainian metal)
