Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works has finished a number of capital repairs in the coke – sinter – blast-furnace manufacture.
The repairs have been carried out by CherMK employees, as well as contracting companies.
The main work has been carried out at the largest blast furnace No. 5.
The second-largest furnace No. 4 capacities have been improved to design parameters.
Together with the BF4, 6 sintering machines (Nos. 4-9) have been shut down to inspect the smoke pipe and introduce a gas-mixing station to supply gas to the blast furnace No. 3 currently under construction. (Ukrainian metal)
