In January-September the scientific and manufacturing company Geotechnologia produced 1761 tons of nickel, down by 60% YoY.
This year the company was operating at the Shanuch deposit in Kamchatka.
The reason of such a drastic decrease is not explained.
In 2018 the company produced 6 thousand tons of nickel, down from the target of 9.5 thousand tons.
The company license for the operation at the Shanuch is valid until 2021. The C1+C2 cobalt-copper-nickel sulfide ore reserves are estimated at 1.7 million tons of ore, which contain some 64 thousand tons of nickel, 10 thousand tons of copper and 1862 thousand tons of cobalt. (Ukrainian metal)
