Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works has modernized the capacities of the converter No. 2 in the converter steel shop.
Machinery was supplied by Danieli Corus V.B., the Netherlands.
New machinery will allow improving the converter efficiency, decreasing ferroalloys usage and the smelting time by 30 seconds.
Until the end of the year the company intends to modernize all of its converters.
Investments will total 500 million rubles. (Ukrainian metal)
