Ukraine: manganese output collapses in January 2015
In January Ukraine produced 30.8 thousand tons of manganese concentrate and sinter, down by 76.7%, or by 101.5 thousand tons, MoM.

In January Ukraine exported $11.82 million worth of ferrous scrap, while imports reached $0.39 million.
Some mines are still operating in the Lugansk region, controlled by Ukraine. These belong to Lisichanskugol and Pervomayskugol. In 2014 these companies produced 1 million tons of coal.
In January Ukrainian ferroalloy companies produced 82.6 thousand tons of ferroalloys, down by 0.5% YoY.
In January Ferrexpo plc, controlling Poltava and Yeristovo Mining and Processing Works (PGOK and EGOK), increased its pellets output by 2.5%, to 1.01 million tons, YoY. At the same time concentrate production went down by 4.5%, to 1.143 million tons.
In January major Ukrainian pipe companies decreased their output of ferrous pipes by 10.1%, to 78.3 thousand tons, YoY. In December 2014 pipe output was 94.3 thousand tons, in November 2014 – 102.3 thousand tons.
In 2014 Metinvest group produced 34880 thousand tons of iron ore concentrate, down by 6%, or by 2038 thousand tons, YoY.
In January Severniy Mining and Processing Works (SevGOK, Kriviy Rih) produced 702 thousand tons of pellets, down by 32.6% YoY.
