In January Ferrexpo plc, controlling Poltava and Yeristovo Mining and Processing Works (PGOK and EGOK), increased its pellets output by 2.5%, to 1.01 million tons, YoY. At the same time concentrate production went down by 4.5%, to 1.143 million tons.
In 2014 Ferrexpo increased pellets output of its own raw materials by 2%, to 10670.45 million tons, YoY, those of purchased raw materials – by 1%, to 350.86 thousand tons. This resulted in a combined increase of pellets output in 2014 by 1.9%, to 11021.3 thousand tons. 65% iron content pellets totaled 5803.2 thousand tons (up by 16.3%), 62% – 5218.1 thousand tons (down by 10.4%).
In 2014 production of pellets made of PGOK ore decreased by 13.5%, to 7262.41 thousand tons. 65% iron pellets output went up by 13%, to 4497.12 thousand tons, of 62% – decreased by 37.4%, to 2765.29 thousand tons.
EGOK ore pellets output in 2014 reached 3408.04 thousand tons, up by 64.9% YoY. 65% iron pellets production increased by 40.6%, to 1047.37 thousand tons, that of 62% – by 78.6%, to 2360.67 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
