Severstal is finishing the pre-heating assembly of the coke-oven battery No. 11 with the technology of charge tramping at Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works.
The cost of the investment project amounts to 33 billion rubles.
The technology will allow processing low-value coal grades from Vorkutaugol without losing quality indexes. Thus the company will not only increase high-quality coke output, but will also decrease its prime cost.
Some 1800 people are employed in construction. (Ukrainian metal)
