For the first time in Ukraine, DTEK has installed Wi-Fi at the depth of 500 meters at the Yubileynaya mine in order to provide a multi-functional system for miners’ safety, using almost 130 km of cable.

“The system will allow getting data from various safety meters in real time and informing miners of the change in air composition, as well as monitoring the working process with the help of video cameras”, the project director Vadim Miroshnichenko reported.

DTEK is busy creating the mine digital ecosystem, as the underground infrastructure differs greatly from the above ground one. (Ukrainian metal)
