In 2019 Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works considerably decreased the volume of energy resources purchases.
Thus, the company was able to save 36.6 million kW-h of electricity, 350 thousand tons of fuel and 16 million cubic meters of oxygen.
The decrease is due to reconstruction of some of CherMK capacities.
Last year electricity consumption totaled 5848.3 million kW-h, down by 0.3% YoY. The volume of the own electricity production was 4389.7 kW-h. Thus, the share of the company own electricity has reached 75.1%. (Ukrainian metal)
