Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works has finished modernization of its turbo generator No. 5.

The cost of investment project exceeded 1 billion rubles.

The goal was to increase the share of the own electricity generation.

The capacity of the generator has been increased by 20 MW, to 75 MW.

This is the first of the two scheduled modernizations of the CherMK turbine park.

Now the company is busy modernizing the turbo generator No. 7. It will be commissioned in late 2020.

In 2018 the company own share in the electricity output reached 77.9%. Its goal is to have reached 95% by 2025. (Ukrainian metal)
