As the result of the coke oven battery No. 4 reconstruction Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works will decrease air pollution by 700 tons per year.
The total cost of the investment contract is 6 billion rubles.
In addition to decreasing pollution levels, the modernized battery will produce more coke – 460 thousand tons as opposed to 420 thousand tons.
The first coke at the reconstructed unit will have been produced by the year-end. (Ukrainian metal)
