Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works has finished the repair of a unit of air heaters (cowper stoves) of the blast furnace No. 5 (“Severyanka”).
Under the investment program CherMK has repaired 4 cowper stoves.
Investments exceeded 2.3 billion rubles.
The constructors have assembled over 4.5 thousand tons of metal structures and laid more than 18 thousand cubic meters of refractory lining.
The BF5 is one of the largest furnaces in Europe. Its project capacity is over 4 million tons of pig iron per year. (Ukrainian metal)
