Gazprom believes the price of large diameter pipes for the surface part of Nord Stream 2 is too high.

The pipes suppliers have already received the corresponding letters.

The order was issued on April 19, 2016. Gazprom intended to by 501.6 thousand tons of large diameter pipes.

The total cost of the contract is 56.8 billion rubles ($920 million). OMK accounted for the major part – 30% valued at 17.2 billion rubles, followed by TIT (29%, 16.5 billion rubles), ChTPZ (20.5%, 11.6 billion rubles), TMK (10.7%, 5.7 billion rubles) and Severstal (9.9%, 5.6 billion rubles).
