Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works has finished the repairs of the blast furnace No. 2.
The cost of the repair exceeded 40 million rubles. The repair lasted for 18 days.
All the parts of the new machinery were of local-make. One of the largest parts – the base of the furnace weighing 15 tons – was produced by SSM-Tyazhmash. The furnace itself weighs 90 tons. (Ukrainian metal)
