In January-May railroads transported 11.86 million tons of ferrous metals, down by 0.3% YoY, including 11.57 million tons for export, down by 2.1%, and 287.84 thousand tons for import, up 3.9-fold.
Export transportation to the port of Novorossiysk totaled 4.59 million tons, down by 7.6% YoY, to St. Petersburg port – 2.4 million tons, up by 19.2%, Nakhodka – 1.53 million tons, up by 12.5%, Tuapse – 0.94 million tons, up by 4.8%. Novorossiysk accounted for 40% of all export deliveries, St. Petersburg – 21%, and Nakhodka – 13%.
Import transportation from the port of St. Petersburg was 96.51 thousand tons, Ust-Luga – 95.86 thousand tons, Vladivostok – 45.11 thousand tons.
In May ferrous metals railroad transportation to ports for export dropped by 2.3% YoY, to 2.11 million tons, imports increased 4.3-fold, to 67.31 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
