In January Russia exported 3.355 million tons of ferrous metals, down by 1.1% YoY.

According to the Federal Customs Service, semi-finished steel products accounted for 1.306 million tons, up by 9.3%, and flat rolled metal – 0.652 million tons, down by 10.5%.

In monetary terms ferrous metals exports decreased by 6.6%, to $1.567 billion. With semi-finished products down by 3%, to $556.5 million, and flat rolled metal – by 16.4%, to $360.4 million.

The share of metal in the overall exports in January was 9.3% (10% in January 2018).

Far foreign countries accounted for 8.8% (9.7%) and CIS countries for 13.2% (12.5%). (Ukrainian metal)
