Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works, a part of Severstal, has started assembling the main equipment for the new coating shop No. 3.

The crane with the lifting capacity 35/15 tons has already been assembled. The crane costing 50 million rubles has been especially developed for this site.

“Thanks to the new shop our company will considerably increase its share on the coated metal market and extend its product range for construction industry and household appliances manufacturers. The shop with the cost of 7 billion rubles will be put into operation this year”, Severstal Russian Steel CEO Vadim Germanov said.

The shop will have the hot-galvanizing mill with the capacity of 400 thousand tons per year and the polymer-coating mill for 200 thousand tons per year. (Ukrainian metal)
