Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works has started an active phase of the project to assemble the coil-rewinding machine with the capacity of 650 thousand tons per year.
The machine, to be situated in the metal finishing shop No. 2, will be rewinding pickled cold- and hot-rolled metal coils manufactured at mills 1700 and 2000.
The machine will be supplied by LDM (Italy).
The cost of the project is 1.2 billion rubles.
The machine is scheduled to be commissioned in March 2019, and the design capacity will be reached in Q2 2019. (Ukrainian metal)
