In 2024 Ukraine increased coal imports 2.7-fold YoY, to 1.812 million tons.
According to the State Customs Service, in monetary terms imports grew 2.2-fold, to $402.21 million.
USA supplied $98.868 million worth of coal (24.58% of the total), Australia – $97.794 million (24.31%), the Czech Republic – $69.527 million (17.29%) and other countries – $136.03 million (33.82%).
Last year Ukraine exported 397.324 thousand tons of coal valued at $36.366 million, down 1.7-fold and 4.7-fold YoY respectively.
The main customers were Sweden ($14.776 million), India ($10.421 million) and Italy ($5.487 million). (Ukrainian metal)
