Ukrmetallurgprom is asking the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to take all the necessary measures to unblock scrap sales at Ukrzaliznytsia.
Since February 28, when a meeting was held on the issue, Ukrzaliznystia has held no scrap auctions. Even though the enterprise chairman Yevhen Lyaschenko assured metal companies that auctions would start from the second half of March with 20 thousand tons to be sold each month.
Metal companies claimed that Ukrzaliznytsia stopped auctioning scrap back in September 2023, which affected the operation of the whole metal industry of Ukraine. (Ukrainian metal)
