In January-November, consumption of metal products (rolled metal and semi-finished products) increased by 101.2% YoY, to 3.26 million tons.
Ukraine imported 989.9 thousand tons of metal products, up by 84.2% YoY. Imports amounted to 30.4% of the domestic consumption, down by 2.8% YoY.
The share of flat rolled metal was 83.9% and bars – 16%, as opposed to 76.9% and 22% last year respectively.
In 11 months, Ukraine produced 4.86 million tons of rolled metal, down by 7.2%. Exports amounted to 2.6 million tons, down by 37.6%.
2.27 million tons were sold domestically, up by 110%. The share of exports was 53.4%, down from 79.4% last year.
The share of flat rolled metal in exports grew from 38.4% to 39.2% and bars – from 17.7% to 18.2%, while semi-finished products dropped from 43.8% to 42.5%. (Ukrainian metal)
