The Nikolayev Alumina Plant specialists have carried out tests and found out that red slam (titanium dioxide waste) can be used to produce cement.
“The problem of mud utilization is a global one. There is no mass solution yet. But NGZ is constantly working in this direction. We are among the first in alumina production in red mud processing,” the company CEO Victor Kozhevnikov has said.
This year the company will carry out work to obtain products of red mud that can be used in construction. The first stage presupposes processing 180 thousand tons per year. (Ukrainian metal)
