Severstal has finished a series of capital repairs at the Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works coke-sinter-blast furnace, steel smelting and flat rolled metal manufacture.
The combined cost amounted to 791 million rubles.
The coke-sinter-blast furnace manufacture saw the largest blast furnace No. 5 repaired, as well as BF No. 4.
At the same time six sintering machines (Nos. 4-9) have been shut down for repair.
Large-scale repair has been carried out at the sintering machines Nos. 10 and 11.
The largest by far was the repair of the flat-rolling mill-2000 valued at 184 million UAH. (Ukrainian metal)
