On October 26 Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works celebrated 5 years of the first electric steel manufacture.
Since then over 46.7 million tons of metal have been produced.
The maximum annual output of 2.047 million tons was achieved in 2007.
Now the works can produce 70 grades of electric steel.
The first electric steel was produced in October 1969.
In 1997-1999 the electric steel shop underwent a major reconstruction. (Ukrainian metal)
