Due to the increase of the imports of hot-rolled carbon and alloyed steel in sheets and coils to the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union, the Economic Commission has introduced a special quota on the imports of the said products.
The quota is aimed at protecting the EAEU members’ ferrous metallurgy and would be in effect from December 1, 2019 till November 30, 2020.
From December 1, 2019 till March 31, 2020 the volume of the quota will be 20%, from April 1, 2020 till July 31, 2020 – 50%, and from August 1, 2020 till November 30, 2020 – 30%.
85% of the special quota will be divided between the participants according to their share of imports in 2015-2018. (Ukrainian metal)
