Ukraine: metal wholesale up in H1 2019

In January-June wholesale of metal grew by 17.3% YoY, to 2.7 million tons, valued at 48.9 billion UAH, up by 10.3%.

The growth is due to the changes in the trade, including exports, as the domestic market does not show such rates.

Russia: consultations in WTO on US steel duties initiated

Russia has asked for consultations within the World Trade Organization (WTO) on the U.S. steel anti-dumping duties, the WTO said in a statement on July 9.

Russia: NMTP ferrous metal throughput up in January-October 2018

In January-October the consolidated throughput of NMTP terminals totaled 116.946 million tons, down by 2.4% YoY.

Ferrous metals and pig iron accounted for 11.165 million tons, up by 11.3% YoY.

Non-ferrous metals throughput dropped by 13.3%, to 0.826 million tons, and of iron ore raw materials – by 4.8%, to 2.011 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
