Eurasian Economic Committee will impose quotas on hot-rolled metal from Ukraine and South Korea from December 1 for a year.

Under the quota it will be possible to supply 1.328 million tons of rolled metal without additional payments, but over that volume the duty will be 20% of the customs cost.

“The special protective measure will not be applied to hot-rolled metal from developing or the least developed countries – users of the EAEU unified tariff system, except for the Republic of Korea, as well as from the CIS states, except for Ukraine”, the committee said, forgetting that Ukraine was no longer a part of CIS.

The protective investigation was initiated a year ago by Severstal, NLMK and MMK. (Ukrainian metal)
