Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade subordinated to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has launched three antidumping investigations concerning the evasion of paying antidumping duty when importing to Ukraine rolled carbon steel with coating, wire and steel fasteners made in China.
The national manufacturers said in their claims that the effect of the antidumping duty on imports from China might have been negated by the supplies of the similar products from Malaysia and artificial decrease of customs duties.
Moreover, the commission has expanded these antidumping duties to imports from Malaysia.
This is the first time that the duty is levied since the start of the investigation.
Thus, the duties for rolled carbon steel from Malaysia will amount to 30.75% to 48.14%, for steel fasteners, in particular, screws, bolts and nuts – 67.4% and carbon-manganese steel wire – 32.6%. (Ukrainian metal)
