Vietnam government has announced the imposition of protective duties on the billets originating from Kazakhstan and Malaysia.
The duty will be introduced on June 13 and will be valid until March 21, 2020.
Protective duties on billets and bars were imposed in 2016. At present their size is 17.3% and 10.9% respectively.
The duties were not imposed on products from countries, the share of which on the Vietnamese market was insignificant. But, according to the Ministry of industry and trade, Kazakh and Malaysian suppliers have exceeded the 3% level. (Ukrainian metal)
