Severstal and Air Liquide have signed a long-term contract on the delivery of oxygen, nitrogen and argon to Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works.

The French company will invest some EUR 50 million in the construction of an air-separating machine, which will improve energy efficiency and decrease environment impact.

The capacity of the machine, to be designed, constructed and maintained by Air Liquide will be 2 thousand tons of oxygen per day. Thus the total Air Liquide capacities at the CherMK will grow to 7 thousand tons of oxygen per day.

This will be the third machine by Air Liquide at the works. (Ukrainian metal)
