The government of Brazil has started reviewing the antidumping duty on plate steel from Ukraine, China, South Korea and the Republic of South Africa.

The term of the current duties expires in October. But they will still be valid until a new decision.

The decision has to be taken within 10 months, though the government has an option to prolong the investigation.

The duties were introduced in 2013 for 5 years.

For Ukraine they amount to $135.08 per ton.

The duties affect cold-rolled low carbon steel plates with the thickness above 4.75 mm and the width of 600 mm. (Ukrainian metal)
